Is there a product that makes straight edge on an interior door?
I installed a door, but the cut I made on the height is very wavy. The gap is too large in some places so sanding it even is out of the question. Is there a product that I could buy that would be installed on edge that would make the edge look straight?
You could take a piece of one by two and cut it slightly longer than the width of the door. Shim this up to the gap you want under the door. Once it is shimmed draw a line on the door. Put the door flat on your saw horses and attach a straight edge to the door with clamps. Adjust the straight edge so your saw cut will just take the line off the door. When you finish this cut then glue and fasten the one by two to the bottom of the door. Cut and sand this wood to match the door. Fill any small gaps and then sand and paint the door and you wont be able to tell it is glued on. Good Luck
They do make a shoe that will slip on the bottom and you can adjust the height this would also work.
