Refill Cartridges

If you're thinking about buying an inkjet cartridge refill machine you need to read this article first. We're going to look at how they work, the different types that are available and whether they're worth the cost.

These refill machines are designed to drain any existing ink from a used cartridge and then refill it with new ink. It's a much easier (and less messy) process than refilling a cartridge by hand using bottles of ink.

Refill machines also help the environment by letting you reuse your old cartridges, instead of just throwing them out when you replace them.

There are a couple of different types of refill machines available. The main difference is the size and how many ink cartridges they can work with at one time.

Refill machines designed for home use typically only refill one cartridge at a time. They're not designed for high volume use and will take 3 or 4 minutes to refill the ink.

Machines designed for office use will often refill multiple cartridges - 12 or more - at one time and are faster at doing it. They're designed for the higher volume use that most offices would see.

Whether or not these machines are worth the cost will depend on just how much printing you do. Refilling your empty cartridges will save you as much as 90% over the cost of buying new replacement cartridges, so if you do a lot of printing - in an office for example - it can save a significant amount of money.

If you don't do all that much printing, however, what you save in the cost of ink could be offset by the cost of the refill machine itself. In this case, you might be better off just buying generic cartridges from a company that does the refilling for you.

It's still a lot cheaper than the original brand of ink, but you pay a little more than you would for refill kits.

Ink refilled cartridges can damage your printer. For the past two years, two of my personal printers (Epson and HP) got damaged. For personal printing needs, NO to refill! For business printing, like you accept printing jobs, YES! You need ink refills for printing business to lower your printing cost and be competitive. At least if you earn from your printer, when it gets damage, you have money to buy a new one compared to personal use.
