Good video editing software?

I need an editing software to edit my YouTube videos with. The only features I really want are split-screen capability (optional), ability to put text over a video (and move it anywhere on the screen), and accuracy and precision with trimming videos. I'm fine with paying for it but not too much money (up to around $100).

I'd like to recommend HD video editor to you, I always use it to edit video and make funny video for uploading to Youtube, it's easy to use and the quality is awesome, you can crop, cut, join, edit video with it easily.
