Identifying trends is obviously important for the trend followers, but the operations of any person in any kind must be aware of the trend in the market who trade. The overall trend can influence your trading style. If the trend is, you may need a different treatment buy signals sell signals in the fight against the trend. If the trend is on the side, then applying a method of monitoring and frustrating trend would probably uneconomical. A downward trend in some markets may have a different character in an upward trend. Early changes may be easier to the end of the development of trade, in several cases. Therefore, it is important to know the trend.

But to complicate matters, there may be many trends at play in the same market, even in the same graph. There are trends within trends. Different period lengths moving averages, or the indicator inputs, may indicate a different trend often confused and contradictory. There can be a tendency to struggle against the motion down in a table of 30 minutes, while the daily chart shows a strong upward trend, while the monthly chart shows a sideways trend. The simplest way to define a tendency to use the pricing structure is by observing the turning points of high and low. Points swing points or pivot bars are the prices which have a high point surrounded vertices of two or three lower on each side, or bottom cheapest bar surrounded by two or three on each side.

However, you set the end point, the idea is to have a range of prices to continue taking the last turning point in one direction. This is the same theory of a market making higher highs and higher minimum, but not always exactly so. Sometimes a break, formed in the price structure and prices are temporarily trend with the market making a lower height, but only a small reduction is not carried the uptrend remains intact.

These turning points are important to the price structure, since the mark, when prices stopped and reversed, at least temporarily. Market May retest these areas to see if the money turned back, or if the price can exceed the point of resistance above go beyond. The market continues to test whether trade is the acceptance or rejection of price and those benchmarks are undecided for these tests.

I have found no trend following indicators or criteria to be profitable as a stand - alone system. But I found the exchanges At unprofitable in the current cons. Therefore, I want to know the most probable direction of the current market trend and the time trade. Then I can enter retirement, against the trend, but always in the direction of the trend. It took me many years of frustration to learn this lesson. Can be rewarding to choose a higher or lower in a market, but more probably it is more likely to succeed to go with the current trend. If you jump in a river that may result from the ongoing effort or swim like mad trying to mount. Usually, the best you can do is stay where you are. So we know the trend and trade in that direction.
