European Shaving

Rosacea (Pink-AY-sha) is a chronic (long term) skin disease that is estimated to affect over 45 million people worldwide. Cause redness and buttons. Rosacea occurs in both men and women, and although it can occur at any age, onset usually begins after the age of 30. Subsequent skinned people of European descent, especially North and West has been nicknamed the 'curse Celts' by some in Ireland. Rosacea is sometimes called acne rosacea, which is misleading because rosacea and acne are two conditions to any completely different, although they may appear together. As rosacea progresses, other symptoms can develop such as semi-permanent erythema, telangiectasia (dilated superficial blood vessels on the face), red domed papules (small bumps) and pustules, redness, burning, tingling and itching and in some advanced cases, a red lobulated nose (rhinophyma). The disorder can be confusing and co-exist with acne and / or seborrheic dermatitis. There are four subtypes identified rosacea. Ocular rosacea: Red, dry and irritated eyes and eyelids. Some other symptoms include foreign body sensation, itching and burning. Papulopustular rosacea: Permanent redness with red bumps (papules) filled with pus (pustules) (which typically last 1-4 days), this subtype can be easily confused with acne.Phymatous Rosacea is most often associated with rhinophyma, an enlargement of the nose. Erythematotelangiectatic rosacea is redness (erythema) with a tendency to flush and blush easily. Also it is common for small blood vessels visible near the surface of the skin (telangiectasias) and possibly sting or itch.
Frst signs of rosacea are known as persistent redness due to exercise, changes in temperature and cleanliness. It is also wrong to believe that this condition red face is caused by the consumption of alcoholic beverages. Usually starts between 30 and 60. Rosacea may be aggravated by facial creams or oils, and especially by topical steroids. Rosacea can affect all segments of the population, especially those with light skin who tendency to blush easily. The disorder may be more common in women, but is generally more severe in men - perhaps because men have tendency to delay medical consultation until the disease reaches an advanced stage. There are several theories on the origin of blood vessels facial hyperactivity and inflammation, including genetic factors, environmental inflammatory, vascular. Some believe that the social effects and emotional rosacea are worse than the physical symptoms. In one survey, 1 nearly 70 percent of rosacea patients said it reduced self-confidence and self esteem. Forty-one percent said the state has made them avoid public contact or cancel commitments social. In some cases the eyes may also be affected by rosacea, resulting in a grainy feel and appearance of blood. When you move severity, symptoms can include inflammation of blood vessels of the eyes, and in rare cases small hard bumps May develop on the eyelids and vision may be affected.
Rosacea and demodex mites have revealed that some people with rosacea have more mites, especially steroid-induced rosacea. Helicobacter pylori, which causes intestinal infection in rosacea. Pharmacare and topical irritants can quickly progress rosacea. The immune system has also been implicated as playing a role in the development Rosaceae. Small blood vessels under the skin of the face enlarge and dilate. These blood vessels mai hypersensitivity to certain triggers. Triggers that cause episodes of flushing play a role in the development of rosacea. Exposure to extreme temperatures can cause flushing face, and vigorous exercise, heat from sunlight, severe burns, stress, anxiety, cold wind, moving to a hot environment, hot or cold as shops and offices during the winter heating. There are also some foods and beverages that may cause flushing, these include alcohol, foods and beverages containing caffeine (especially, hot tea and coffee) Foods rich in histamine and spicy food. When rosacea affects the face, may be associated with anxiety and lack of confidence and can cause psychological problems and depression. Treating rosacea varies from patient to patient, depending on the severity and subtypes. Dermatologists are recommended to take a subtype led approach to treat patients with rosacea.
Tips to prevent rosacea and treatment
1.Protection the sun is high and the daily use of sunscreen at least SPF 15 contains a physical blocker such as zinc oxide or titanium dioxide is advised.
2.Oral tetracyclines (tetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline) and topical antibiotics such as metronidazole are usually the first line of defense provided by doctors to relieve papules, pustules, swelling and redness
3.The treatment of hot flashes has been tempted by the centrally acting 2-agonist clonidine, but no evidence that this is beneficial.
4.People who develop infections of the eyelids must practice frequent eyelid hygiene. Wash daily eyelids gently with diluted baby shampoo or an over-the-counter eyelid cleaner and applying warm (not hot) compresses several times a day is recommended.
5.Dermatological vascular laser (single wavelength) or Intense Pulsed Light (broad spectrum) machines offer one of the best treatments for rosacea.
6.CO2 laser can be used to remove excess tissue caused by phymatous rosacea. CO2 lasers emit a wavelength which is directly absorbed through the skin. The laser beam can be focused into a thin beam and used as a scalpel or defocused and used to vaporize tissue. Low level light therapies have also been used to treat rosacea.
7.Rhinophyma can be successful by nose reshaping surgery or carbon dioxide laser with a dermatologist or plastic surgeon.
8.One alternative treatment for the skin, the fashion of Victorian and Edwardian was sulfur. Sulfur has recently regained some credibility as a safe alternative to steroids and coal tar
9.Isotretinoin (Accutane) is a powerful medication sometimes used for severe cases of inflammatory rosacea.
10.Keeping newspaper few weeks may help to identify foods and other triggers that seem to do laundry at worst can be avoided if possible.
