Melamine in furniture and cabinet industry

A sheet material, commonly used in offices low cost, ready to assemble cabinets and furniture products.

Melamine is a thermosetting plastic resin applied on a substrate usually chipboard.
The material is heated to cure or harden the resin. It contains formaldehyde, a known carcinogen.

Melamine is available in different sizes and thickness, and a large number of colors and patterns. The leaves are heavy and difficult to work, as the resin is prone to splinter when cut with conventional table saws.

Local commercial use generally machines very important and expensive CNC-controlled CAD programs, which often have multi-head cutting tools using a router designed for these machines. The heads are automatically replaced by the current process.
