compare braun toothbrushes

How much electricity does a tv use compared to charging an electric toothbrush?

i have a 50" plasma tv and a braun toothbrush. Someone told me that watching an hour of tv uses up the same amount of energy as charging my toothbrush for an hour ¬¬

I want to prove them wrong...

No, the TV (specially a large plasma) uses perhaps 500 watts. The toothbrush uses about 5 watts.
