braun epilator review

Is Braun Silk Epilator painless & effective?

its supposed to be used for teenage girls, isn't it? my mom told me these things r painful and don't work much; so please give me a good review on the product.
can u also suggest hair removal for 14 years old if epilators aren't a good thing?

Epilators are good at removing hair if you get a good one. (braun is a good brand). They do hurt a lot at first, but once you are doing it for a while, 1) less hair will be growing back so wont hurt as much, and 2) hair folicals will get weaker so the hairs come out easier and with less/no pain(think about plucking eyebrows if you do....hurts a lot first times you do, after that hairs come out easy).

Ive been using one for 6 months. calfs were never too painful for me, but around my knees and thighs hurt a lot more. Now, none of it hurts at all anymore....can feel it, but its not like its painful. I epilate my legs every week or two. Every week isnt really nessessary but even a little bit of hair on my legs bugs me so i do.....used to shave just about every day. Do epilate my arms too.....but only ever month or so....hair comes back so fine and light it doesnt bother me so much. But since ive only done them about 4 or 5 times it still hurts a bit......but a lot less then the first few times.

If you think you can stand it hurting, they are great.....i personally will never go back to shaving. But it does take a while to do (but less time that shaving more often added together would)......and especially the first few times you do it plan on taking breaks. The first time will be the worst.

Oh and the other thing you have to know with epilating. It does not exfoliate the skin at all, so you have to make a point to or else you will get a lot of ingrown hairs and that hurts. Get yourself a good exfoliating cloth and use that every day when you shower to wash with and scrub the areas you epilate really well. I do that and dont have a problem with ingrowns exept for the one time if neglected to scrub well fora while and my legs HURT......a few days back to scrubbing well corrected that though.
