Seniors do you go to the beauty parlor or barber shop still?

How many of you ladies get your hair set on rollers and dried under the old style dryers and then teased, fluffed and set with hairspray once a week? How many of you men go to an old fashioned styled barber instead of one of those unisex chain hair cut stores?

I have very off the wall short spiky hair that requires a cut every 4 weeks and color every other visit. My husband's lady barber works in a rather old fashioned beauty salon since she sold her barber shop last year. I love taking him there. The hairdressers are all seniors and so are the clientele. The "I'm not gonna touch this hair again until I come back next week" type of hairstyles. They are all so much fun! I wish that one of them would learn how to do my kind of cut because I would become their new client in a heartbeat. I have asked them all if they would do it, but they have said, no. Didn't want to have to go back to school to learn the quirky styles.
